The King’s Ridge Christian School Athletic Department has announced Zach Slaney as their new Head Football Coach. Athletic Director Mike Power stated “I’m excited about Coach Slaney’s energy, football IQ, and his passion to grow the program. He’s going to be a great addition to our department and the King’s Ridge Community.” A Roswell native, Slaney joins KRCS from Holy Innocents’ where he served as Quarterbacks Coach, Offensive Coordinator, and Associate Head Coach. During his three seasons at HI, the team went 28-9 overall, won two region championships, made three playoff appearances, and two quarter-final appearances in the 1A-Private and AAAA levels. Prior to HI, Slaney was on staff at Pace Academy (2018-2021) and The Heritage School (2015-2018) and was selected to coach in the GISA All-Star game. Slaney’s education includes a B.S. from Georgia Tech and an M.A. in Athletic Administration from Ohio University. “I’m excited to be joining the King’s Ridge community and grateful for the opportunity to lead the Tigers football program,” Slaney said. “My style is energetic, encouraging, and detailed and I’m big on faith, effort, discipline, and honoring God in what we do. I look forward to building impactful relationships with the players, coaches, and community in the years to come.”
Please join us in welcoming Coach Slaney and his wife, Ellen, to the KRCS community. Zach will meet with the students on January 17 and parents on Monday, January 22, at 7:00 PM in the High School Howe Commons.
King’s Ridge will compete in GHSA Class A-Division 1, Region 5 in the fall.
