Crissy Watkins
The KRCS Softball program is lead by Head Coach Crissy
Watkins who also serves as the KRCS Director of Marketing. Coach Watkins is in
her fifth year with the school.
Watkins was the head coach at Whitefield Academy for eight years before joining
King’s Ridge. “The beauty of coaching young athletes is that it provides an
immediate opportunity to create and encourage meaningful relationships. My hope
is that the experience of playing for me is remembered as a positive one
regardless of talent level or wins and losses.” In addition to coaching,
Watkins has lead camps and provided private instruction for groups and
individuals. Crissy played college softball at Georgetown College in Kentucky
and was a four year starter for the Tigers from 1999-2003. Still holding
several offensive records for GC, Watkins was inducted into the GC Athletic
Hall of Fame in 2016 (individual) and in 2018 ('02 team). A highlight of her career was playing with the USA
Athletes International team in Germany and Holland. While earning her Master’s
degree in Kinesiology, Crissy worked closely with several Georgia Southern
athletic programs and athletes including the softball team. Watkins attended
Amelia High School in Cincinnati where she was a multi-sport athlete and is currently
a member of the Athletic Hall of Fame. Crissy lives in Alpharetta with her husband
and their five children.
