Coach Mike Power serves as the Athletic Director and Head Baseball Coach at King's Ridge Christian School. He holds an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Lincoln Memorial University, a Master of Education degree in Health and Physical Education, and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from University at Buffalo.
One of Georgia’s all-time winningest coaches, Coach Power has compiled a 635–268 career record, along with three state championships and five state championship appearances. Over 100 of his former players have advanced to compete at the collegiate level, including 54 Division I players and 37 Division I scholarship signees. Sixteen of his former players have been selected in the MLB Draft, including two first-round picks, and 14 have gone on to play in Major League Baseball. He has been named State Coach of the Year four times, and seven of his teams have earned national rankings. In 2017, Coach Power was inducted into the Georgia Dugout Club Hall of Fame.
Coach Power also served as the infield and hitting coach for Team USA Baseball from 2003–2007 and again in 2008. During that time, the team captured one silver medal and two bronze medals, with 20 players from those rosters advancing to Major League Baseball. In addition, Coach Power has spent the last sixteen years scouting with the Pittsburgh Pirates and currently works with the Minnesota Twins organization.
Coach Power has one son, Ryan, a recent computer science graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology.
