Congratulations to sophomore lacrosse player Ava Gulbrandsen on being selected by Positive Athlete, GA. This recognition program celebrates high character, high school student-athletes and coaches who have made positive impacts on their teams and within their school community. All recipients are nominated by coaches or administrators within their school community. Ava was nominated by Head Coach Kaitlyn Tyler for her positivity and leadership on and off the field and selected as the First Alternate for the girls in the North Atlanta category. "We’re so proud of Ava being recognized for the positive athlete group. From day one of stepping in the goalie position, Ava has kept her head up and never given up. Win or lose Ava walked off the field ready to go into the next day and continue to build her skills. While it would be easy to get down on yourself in a role like goalie, Ava refused to do so. She walked off the field after every game with words of encouragement, a positive attitude and the drive to keep fighting."-Kaitlyn Tyler
