The 2024 Varsity Softball team made school history by advancing to the GHSA Sweet 16 for the first time in program history. The Tigers, lead by Head Coach Crissy Watkins, defeated St. Vincent's Academy (Savannah), in round one by taking games one and two of the series. The Tigers went on to play the reigning state champs, Prince Avenue Christian in round two. The Tigers lost games one and two of the series, bringing this memorable season to a close. Coach Watkins shared, "We're a really young team with no seniors, surprisingly, so this is a huge accomplishment for these girls. Everyone will be returning next year, bigger and stronger, and the goal will be to make it to Columbus as one of the final 8 teams in the state. I'm really proud of this group and how they fought both individually, and as a collective group. The future is bright for KR softball!"
